Hello!
Room 21 has continued to be working feverishly on fractions! Students took their Mid-Module exams, most did very well! Scores will be in Wednesday envelopes when we get back from break. We have began to work on our Minecraft Missions. This replaces the old way of building model missions at home. All work is done in groups of 8 in our Makerspace at school. This is a great practice in communication and working together! Conferences are quickly approaching. We begin Wednesday, March 7th. There was a slight change to conference option times. Monday, March 12th is no longer available. I am on the school's Site Council, and I am a part of our district's English Language Arts team. I have meetings all afternoons. I apologize for the inconvenience. I try my best to accommodate times and days. Many people wanted the same time/day this trimester, which has made scheduling difficult. Times will be sent out when we return from break. If you are unable to attend, please contact me and I will try to make a time and day work for you. Volunteer Opportunities Our Home & School Club is asking for fourth grade parent volunteers to assist with Frozen Friday sales, as well as the organization of upcoming fourth grade fundraisers. Money from fundraisers will be going to students' 5th grade Science Camp fund. Our fourth grade Gold Rush carnival is coming up in June. We are still in need of parent volunteers, as well as a parent/parents to help head the event. If you have any questions about this, or are interested in reading more about it please contact me, or Miss Yoshioka (yoshiokak@unionsd.org). There is a binder of all the information you will need to help put this event on. Parents are welcome to head this event together. We will need many volunteers to help run stations, gather donations, and more. Please consider volunteering. Thank you! Have a wonderful break! Miss Young
