Happy Spring, Room 21!
Although it has felt more like winter recently, we are now in to spring! The year is just flying by. We have a few new updates for our class.
First, thank you to all the parents who were able to make it to spring conferences this year. It was wonderful getting to discuss the achievements and goals of your child. They have made such growth this year, it has been wonderful to watch!
In math, we are now working on decimals. This can be a tricky module for some students. Important things to practice in this module is PLACE VALUE, PLACE VALUE, PLACE VALUE!
In flex, Mrs. Grant and Miss Yoshioka's classes have been reading the novel, "A Wrinkle in Time". They have invited all fourth grade students and families to watch the first showing of the movie on April 8th at the Oakridge Mall. Please remember students will need to purchase their own tickets/snacks.
In science we are starting in with our Earth science unit. We have been researching information about volcanos. Soon, we will go to the Makerspace for our first project in this unit.
The Fun Run fundraiser is going on now. Students are encourage to gather pledges to help support our school. Fourth grade will be participating in this run next Thursday, March 29th from 8:30-9:30. In previous years, the whole school has walked together. This year, each grade has an hour for them to participate.
I hope you have a wonderful three day weekend!
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
